Council on FoundationsAnnapolis Day TripThe Chesapeake Bay Funders Network (CBFN) hosted 50 foundation leaders from the Council on Foundations Summit on May 6, 2008. Attendees experienced The Power of Green on the Chesapeake Bay which took participants on a multi-faceted journey to Annapolis, Maryland, the capitol of the state and an historic port on the Chesapeake Bay. A highlight of the day was a tour of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation’s headquarters with a view of the Bay and Black Walnut Creek. The Philip Merrill Environmental Center was the first building to receive the U.S. Green Building Council’s Platinum rating for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. The Chesapeake Bay Funders Network would like to thank the Council on Foundations and all who participated in this remarkable excursion. |
